Mansfield Catman a Dream Come True in Mansfield It's been 11 years since Steve Cerullo started the Catman Café with his childhood friend Michael “Catman” Cataldo. While the road has been rocky, Cerullo feels he’s made a good business here in Mansfield. Cerullo said he’s always been in the restaurant business, and leaving it is very tough for him. “It’s always a little crazy here,” he said. “This business does affect you a little bit. I mean my wife’s been to Italy, Ireland and I just can’t leave this place for more than three days.” Cerullo said he and Cataldo had been friends since he can remember. An outfielder at Coastal Carolina University, Mansfeld's Bri Chiusano was named to the Big South Conference's All-Freshman team.
Mansfield's Bri Chiusano didn't take long to adapt to college softball. The Coastal Carolina University freshman outfielder batted .330, second on the team and was perfect in stolen bases, 29 for 29. She appeared in 58 games as a starter as Coastal Carolina went 37-22 on the season. The Chants' leadoff hitter was named to Big South Conference's first All-Freshman Team. As a senior at Mansfield High, Chiusano batted a school-record .560 and she also holds the record for career stolen bases with 96.

Former Patriots offensive lineman Matt Light was at Southeastern Regional in Easton Wednesday morning promoting his nonprofit, the Light Foundation. Light took time to mingle with some students and talk about the upcoming cornhole tournament at Gillette Stadium to support his foundation.

Eight Displaced After Fulton Place Fire Early Friday morning, Mansfield fire and local departments providing mutual aid assisted with extinguishing a fire located in a set of apartments on 15 Fulton Place. According to scanner reports and Mansfield fire, flames started to appear from one of the buildings a little before 2 a.m. The fire was located in the second story of the wooded frame building with three units. Crews from Mansfield, Norton, Attleboro, Sharon, Foxborough, and North Attleboro responded to the fire, taking about a half-hour to get the flames under control.
