Mansfield Police Arrest Suspects in Best Buy Thefts

Mansfield police arrest two men suspected in taking thousands of dollars in merchandise from the Mansfield Best Buy,

The Mansfield Police Department reported on Wednesday that they have arrested two men in connection with a string of Best Buy shoplifting cases. Police state that the pair have allegedly stolen over $10,000 worth of merchandise. Robert Mason, 43 of Malden and Edward Mason, 38, of Salem, N.H. were arrested on Tuesday around 3 p.m. at the Best Buy in Mansfield Crossing. Security officers from Best Buy chased Robert Mason through a wooded area outside of the store across Route 140. Detective Michael Ellsworth and pfficer John Armstrong apprehended Mason. His brother, Edward, was waiting in the parking lot of the mall in an SUV that had been spotted during previous shoplifting incidents. The pair are suspected of stealing over $10,000 worth of…

Hardman: This Evolution Thing is Troubling

Columnist wrestles with generational changes his family is going through.

  They say worrying causes gray hair, but since I got gray hair, I worry a lot more about things I never paid much attention to. Like this evolution thing. Just the other morning, my TV went blank all of a sudden. I was in total panic mode and ready to throw on my jacket and hit Best Buy. Then I got to thinking, "What would my dad have done?" Of course, he would have gotten out the manual, pulled out a screwdriver and figured out how to repair it. Fortunately, I had just removed the power cord from the wall. Still, as I went back to my granola, I got to thinking about how times have changed for men in my family. While I was deep in thought, the light bulb above the kitchen table went out. Best Buy Reports Delivery Delays; Items Out of Stock

Retail giant Best Buy won't be able to deliver on online Christmas orders.

Best Buy is telling some of its customers that the Christmas presents they ordered online won’t be coming in time for the holiday because the items are now out of stock. Best Buy officials have declined to say how many customers or the items affected, according to Minnesota Public Radio, which is the state that Best Buy headquarters is located. The company said overwhelming demand for products has caused “a situation that has affected redemption of some of our customers’ online orders.” Retail consultant Howard Davidowtiz suggested the problem has to do with inventory management, reported Minnesota Public Radio.
