Former Mansfield High standout Shane Harrington is a freshman defenseman for the Curry College men's ice hockey team. In the first nine game of the season, the 6-3, 200-pounder had two assists. Wednesday night, Curry lost to Babson College, 4-2, to fall to 4-4-1 overall. The Colonels will be playing Skidmore College Saturday at the Canton Rink in a 4:35 p.m. start. Last year, he played for the Neepawa Natives of the Manitoba Junior Hockey League, appearing 55 games with seven and 12 assists for 19 points. He also led the team in penalty minutes with 147.
