Mansfield's Mike Redding's Super Bowl Record Better Than Reading's
Mansfield and Reading have met only one in the postseason before Saturday's game at Bentley University, but they both have long playoff history.
Both the Mansfield High and Reading High football teams are no strangers to the postseason. Their only meeting in the postseason was in 2010 Super Bowl where Mansfield rallied for a 29-26 win in the Division 2 Super Bowl at Gillette Stadium. The two teams will be meeting for a second time Saturday at Bentley University at 2 p.m. The following are their playoff records since the Super Bowls were started in 1972. Mansfield vacated their playoff win over Bishop Feehan and their loss to Walpole in the Super Bowl in 2008 after the Massachusetts Interscholastic Athletic Association ruled that the Hornets used an ineligible player.
