Mansfield Ice Hornets Fall to Franklin

Despite a very even game, Mansfield boys' Ice hockey loses to Franklin, 4-2.

Despite most of the game taking place in the center ice, the Franklin High boys' ice hockey team was able to score enough in the game to beat Mansfield, 4-2, Wednesday night. "I thought it was a good game," Mansfield head coach Rick Anastos said. Franklin started out early with a goal at 14:33 in the first period. Mansfield's Erik Foley struck back with a goal at 8:26, assisted by Dylan Burns. Franklin followed up with another goal at 7:15 in the first period. Mansfield scored again in the second period with 3:31 left in the period from an unassisted goal delivered by captian Mike Blackman to tie it up. But with seconds left in the period, Franklin managed to slip a goal in. The clock was literally stopped at .3 seconds. Coming from behind…
