Mansfield Chabad Center and Emerald Square to Celebrate Chanukah

The Emerald Square Mall once again joins the Chabad Jewish Center.

Chanukah -The Festival of Lights- for many of us brings back fond memories of childhood years and serves to renew our sense of identity. The Chanukah lights provide us with warmth, joy, strength and inspiration. Such is the purpose of a community-wide celebration to be held at the Emerald Square Mall in North Attleboro this Chanukah. The Emerald Square Mall once again joins the Chabad Jewish Center in inviting the entire community to celebrate the Festival of Lights at a public Menorah kindling ceremony. Hollywood-style Game Show with a Chanukah theme this Sunday

You be the star in an interactive live game show at the Mansfield Town Hall.

The entire community is invited to join family and friends for the most spectacular Chanukah party ever! The event will take place Sunday, Dec. 9, 2012 at 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the Mansfield Town Hall 6 Park Row room 3AB. This year, special to the Chanukah extravaganza, Mr. DJ will host a Live interactive game show with Chanukah themes and great prizes geared for children and adults. The program will begin with the kindling of the giant outdoor menorah on the south common outside the Town Hall. Local officials will be on hand to mark the celebration. Join the Celebration of Jewish Children and the Birth of Our Nation

The holiday of Shavuot is Sunday and Monday, May 27-28, commemorating the revelation on Mount Sinai when the Jews received the Ten Commandments (and subsequently the entire Torah [Bible]) - 3,324 years ago. The Talmud describes a conversation between G-d and the Jewish people as a prerequisite to receiving the Ten Commandments: G-d asked: “Who will be the guarantors?” The Jewish people answered: "The heaven and the earth." Mansfield's Chabad Jewish Center's Purim in the Circus

Chabad Jewish Center's circus to be held next week.

“Purim in the Circus” is the Chabad Jewish Center's creative twist to this year’s community Purim celebration, which will be held at the Mansfield VFW, 88 Chilson Avenue, on Wednesday, March 7 from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. The event will feature a carnival- style dinner, Megillah Reading & Sideshow, Purim Masquerade and an  Incredible Circus Show by Chuckles & Nick. Featuring: Stilt Walking, Acrobats, Juggling, Unicycle, Illusion & Straight Jacket Escape. Participants will enjoy Delicious buffet dinner, a great show and a free raffle. Hundreds will Skate to the Sound of Jewish Music

Locals will celebrate Chanukah on Ice at Patriots Place

On Sunday, Dec. 25 2011, from 2 p.m.-4 p.m., men, women and children from Massachusetts will converge on the area's ultimate celebration of - "Chanukah On Ice" at Winter Skate in Patriots Place, Foxboro.  Non-stop action and activities will provide a creative and educational Chanukah celebration for Jewish families.
