How much does it cost to live in Mansfield?
Last week, Mansfield selectmen voted to endorse raising both the residential and commercial/industrial property tax rates. According to the Boston Business Journal, Mansfield stacks up pretty poorly against some of its neighbors in terms of commercial industrial tax rates, at least in some areas, and is the fifth most expensive town among Sharon, Wrentham, Norfolk, Norton, Franklin, Easton, Plainville, Norwood, Brockton and Foxborough(as of fiscal year 2012, of which the increase in Mansfield hasn’t taken effect). The vote decided that the increase would take the residential tax rate from $14.29 out of every $1,000 of worth to $14.92 per $1000, a 4.409 percent increase while the commercial rate would increase from $18.50 per $1,000 to $19.…
