Volunteer in Mansfield for the Holidays

Joseph Kennedy Comes to Mansfield's COA

Joseph Kennedy III stopped by Mansfield’s Council on Aging on Thursday to discuss the issues close to his campaign and the upcoming election in Massachusetts for Barney Frank’s Fourth District seat in Congress. “It’s a tough crowd, but it’s a good crowd,” he said. Mansfield resident Angela Roman asked Kennedy what he thought about how he would correctly represent average citizens in this day and age. Mansfield COA Gets $2K from Rep. Poirier

MAnsfield Council on Aging gets $2,000 from Rep. Elizabeth Porier.

Representative Elizabeth A. Poirier came to the Wednesday Mansfield Board of Selectmen’s meeting to present $2,000 to the Mansfield Council on Aging. Poirier presented the check to the COA for extra funds that were raised at the 2012 Senior Spectacular. “We had over 100 vendors come and show their wares,” Porier said. “We had over 100 raffle prizes, several grand prizes, workshops to help give [participating seniors] knowledge on certain areas… All in all a fantastic day. “ The event was put on through sponsorships and vendor fees, and the surplus was passed on to local senior centers in this case.
