Rally canceled.
The pro-Christmas concert rally planned for Friday has been canceled, because of still developing reasons for the concert's rescheduling. Peggy Doherty, the rally's coordinator stated: "Thanks is extended to all those who planned on attending and are still encouraged to contact school officials or the superintendent's office for more information."
Mansfield Education Foundation hosts Annual Secret Shop at Jordan Jackson Elementary School
The following was submitted by Cara Martin of Bridgewater State University --- On Saturday, Dec. 1, a snowy day in Mansfield, MA set the stage for Mansfield Education Foundation’s (MEF) Annual Secret Shop. Secret Shop was originally started by The Mansfield Social Club in the 1960s. Since 2010, MEF has successfully continued the tradition of gathering student elves and parent volunteers to transform the Jordan Jackson Elementary School cafeteria into a holiday mini mall. “There are tables of gifts for everyone on their lists, Mom, Dad, Grandparents, friends and pets. I find hilarious how they are (stupid) people in this town who complained about the various songs' religious affiliation. They feel offended, because they were too Christian, Jewish [etc.] the ironic factor is that every song proclaims nothing but the sharing of love and joy with ALL people...
