The number of homes that were without power for any time is below 30 and all of these, save for the tree into the house scenario were restored in the same day. All in all this was a situation where significant preparation and the path of the storm played significant roles in making our own luck. ... Oct. 22 5:37 p.m. North Attleboro Fire reported a vehicle off the roadway on Route 95 North. Oct. 24 10:00 a.m. Mansfield Fire responded to a call reporting a microwave fire on Squire Avenue. Oct. 25 8:12 a.m. Mansfield Fire and EMS responded to a call reporting a vehicle fire on Hampshire Street near a building. The fire in the vehicle was knocked down and did not extend to the building. 7:03 p.m. Caller reported an oven fire on Potash Road. Heavy smoke permeated the building and the oven was removed. Oct. 10 7:55 a.m. Mansfield Fire and EMS responded to a call reporting a motor vehicle collision on Route 95 South. One victim was transported to Sturdy Memorial Hospital. 2:15 p.m. Mansfield Fire and Rescue responded to an MCI drill in Norton. Oct. 13 6:03 a.m. Mansfield Fire and EMS responded to an alarm at Longhorn Steakhouse. The source of the fire was found to be a linen bag smoldering in the dining room. Victim was found out of the vehicle (though not ejected) and was taken to Sturdy Memorial Hospital. 10:04 p.m. Mansfield Fire and EMS responded to a call reporting a motor vehicle collision between a vehicle and a utility pole at the intersection of Joanna Drive and Maple Street.
