Mansfield Fire Log: Car Collision, Bicycle Fall and Stab Wounds

The following is from the Mansfield Fire and EMS Log.

July 16 2:36 p.m. Mansfield Fire and EMS responded to a call reporting an inside odor of gas at the Jordan Jackson Elementary School.  The odor was found to be from a plumber working on the east side of the building. 3:35 p.m. Mansfield EMS responded to a mutual aid call from Norton reporting a motor vehicle collision on West Main Street. One patient was transported to Sturdy Memorial Hospital. July 17 3:55 p.m. Mansfield EMS responded to a  call reporting a female fallen from her bike in the area of Gilbert Street and Otis Street. The cyclist was reported to have a head laceration, and later confirmed conscious and alert. Mansfield Fire and EMS Log: Motorcycle Ejection, Four-Car MVA and Multiple Mulch Fires

The following is from the Mansfield Fire and Emergency Services Log.

July 11 12:05 p.m. Mansfield Fire covered the Foxborough station during a structure fire on Washington Street. July 12 4:43 p.m. Caller reported a mulch fire in the area of the Bank of America ATM on North Main Street. The fire was extinguished with no damage to surrounding structures. July  13 7:35 a.m. Caller reported a smell of smoke on Williams Street and Mansfield firefighters found that a truck had hit overhead wires. A line had been downed during the incident. July 14 2:35 a.m. . Caller reported a mulch fire in the area of the Bank of America ATM on North Main Street. The fire was extinguished with no damage to surrounding structures. 3:27 p.m. Mansfield Police reported a four-vehicle collision on the on ramp to Route 140 South from…

Mansfield Fire and EMS Log: Collisions, Tree Down and Bass Pro Shop Fire

The following is from the Mansfield Fire and Emergency Medical Services log.

July 2 2:45 p.m. Mansfield Fire and EMS responded to a call reporting a two-vehicle head on collision at Mansfield crossing. Two patients were transported to Sturdy Memorial Hospital. 4:55 p.m. Callers reported a tree down on Dean Street and power out. The Mansfield Municipal Electric Department removed the tree and restored power. July 4 12:36 a.m. Caller reported a dumpster fire not near a building on Hope Street. The fire was extinguished. July 6 6:17 a.m. Mansfield EMS responded to a call reporting a motor vehicle collision on Court Street. Patient was evaluated on the scene and refused transport to a local hospital. July 7 8:54 p.m. Mansfield Fire responded to a mutual aid call reporting a fire at the Bass Pro Shop in Foxborough.

Mansfield Fire and EMS Log: Collisions, Trash Fire and Sticking Throttle

The following is from the Mansfield Fire and EMS log.

The Mansfield Fire Department and Emergency Medical Services responded to a total of 49 calls last week. June 11 3:32 p.m.  Mansfield Fire and EMS responded to a call reporting two-vehicle collision on Elm Street in Norton. One patient was transported to Sturdy Memorial Hospital. 6:20 p.m. Mansfield DPW reported that one of their vehicles had a stuck throttle and went into a bush intentionally to stop the vehicle. The operator was transported to Sturdy Memorial Hospital with a bump on the head. June 12 11:45 a.m. Mansfield Fire and EMS responded to a call reporting a motor vehicle collision at the intersection of Route 140 South and South Main Street. Patients were evaluated with minor injuries and refused transport to a local hospital. …

Mansfield Fire and EMS Log: Gas Leaks, Grease Fire and Collisions

The following is from the Mansfield Fire Department's Log.

The Mansfield Fire Department and Emergency Medical Services responded to a total of 52 calls last week. May 17 6:31 a.m. Caller reported for downed wires arching and sparking. Mansfield firefighters cleared the area while the Light Department fixed the issue. May 18 7:39 a.m. Mansfield Police reported a construction company hit a gas line while digging. Mansfield firehelped clear the area while Bay State Gas reported that there was no danger to the surrounding houses. Mansfield firefighters confirmed that there were no readings of  a dangerous leak. 9:02 a.m. State Police reported a motor vehicle collision on Route 95 North  prior to Route 495 exit. Mansfield Fire and EMS Log: Collisions, Spills and Car Fire

The following is fromt he Mansfield Fire and EMS log.

The Mansfied Fire Department and Emergency Medica Services responded to a total of 43 calls last week. May 1 8:38 a.m. Mansfield Fire and EMS responded to a call reporting an explosion and fire on Angell Street. The explosion was not confirmed, but Mansfield firefighters found a contained fire in a pit. Firefighters found that the homeowner had been burning construction materials in the pit. May 2 11:32 a.m. Foxborough Fire reported a motor vehicle collision on Route 95 North of exit 7. May 3  10:36 a.m. Foxborough Fire reported a motor vehicle collision on Route 495 North south of exit 13. Firefighters found that one of the vehicles was leaking diesel fluid. The leak was mitigated and one patient was transported to Rhode Island Hospital. …

Mansfield Fire Log: Pedestrian Strike, Brush Fire and Car Fire

The following is from the Mansfield Fire and EMS log from March 19 to March 25.

The Mansfield Fire Department and Emergency Medical Services responded to a total of 49 calls last week.   March 19 4:18 p.m. Mansfield EMS responded to a mutual aid call from Norton. One patient was transported from Old Meeting House Way to Sturdy Memorial Hospital. March 20 5:11 p.m. Caller reported a pedestrian party was struck by a motor vehicle in a cross walk near the Dunkin Donuts on Chauncy Street. When EMS personnel arrived, both parties had left the scene. Police Sergeant Juda reported finding the struck pedestrian on North Main Street and they refused a hospital transport with minor injuries. 8:04 p.m. Caller reported what they thought to be a building fire on Bonny Lane, but was later discovered to be a cooking fire. 9:18 p.m. …

Mansfield Fire and EMS Log: Feb. 20-27

The following is from the Mansfield Fire Department.

The Mansfield Fire Department and Emergency Medical Services responded to a total of 39 calls last week.   Feb. 21 6:21 a.m. Mansfield Fire and EMS responded to a call reporting a vehicle fire at the Dunkin Donuts on Chauncy Street.  Firefighters found that the fire was isolated to the vehicle and had not spread or injured anyone, and was put out promply. Feb. 23 4:14 p.m. Mansfield Fire and EMS responded to a call reporting a two-vehicle motor vehicle collision at the intersection of Chauncy Street and North Main Street. All parties involved reported minor injuries. Feb. 26 3:32 p.m. Mansfield Fire responded to a call reporting a brush fire near West Street. The fire was extinguished. The Mansfield Fire Department  and Emergency Medical Services responded to a total of 43 calls last week. Feb. 6 10:19 a.m. Mansfield Fire covered the Foxborough station while they covered an incident. Feb. 9  8:49 p.m. Mansfield Fire and EMS responded to a call from the Massachusetts State Police reporting a motor vehicle accident involving two vehicles. One vehicle stopped on the high speed lane and one other went into the trees. One occupant was transported to Norwood Hospital. Feb. 10 10:42 a.m. Caller reported a tree on fire in the area of South Main Street. Mansfield Fire and EMS Log: Jan. 28- Feb. 5

The following is from the Mansfield Fire and EMS log.

The Mansfield Fire Department and Emergency Medical Services responded to a total of 70 calls last week.   Jan. 28 Mansfield Fire and EMS services responded to a call from the Verizon Wireless Store on School Street reporting an inside odor of natural gas. The entire building was evacuated and Columbia gas was notified after readings of gas were recorded. The gas company shut down the building’s gas line and mitigated the leak. Jan. 31 7:56 p.m. Caller reported hearing a popping noise from the telephone pole on South Main Street and then observed that the lights in his residence went dim.
