Mansfield Field Hockey Beats KP 2-1

KP rallied in the final minutes, but could not pull through.

Mansfield varsity field hockey beat King Philip Tuesday 2-1, generally dominating the Warriors throughout. It's said that the best defense is a a good offense, and Mansfield gave credence to the adage. Mansfield kept KP on the defensive for most of the game, only letting the ball into their zone sparingly. KP hardly had any shot attempts for the first half of the game. Mansfield struck early with only a little over a minute into the game. Mansfield's Kelsy Kiley went got in a shot during a fast break. "We got knocked over in the first minute of the game," said KP head coach Liz Hathaway. "That was a big difference right there."
