Obituary: Joseph E. Lonergan

The following is an obituary for Mansfield resident Joseph Lonergan.

Joseph Edward Lonergan of Mansfield, formerly of Stoughton and a United States Army Veteran of WWII passed away on Tuesday October 16,2012 after a courageous battle with Alzheimer's Disease. He was 81 years old and the loving husband of the late Pearl F. (Arachesky) Lonergan to whom he was married to for over 41 years. Mr. Lonergan is survived by his children, Jean Johnson and her husband Mark of Mansfield, Steven Lonergan and his wife Marla of Sharon, his three sisters, Frannie Ritchie of Florida, Millie Doucette and her husband Robert of Florida, Barbara Jackson and her husband Wayne of New Hampshire and his brother Roland “Rollie” Lonergan of Stoughton. Obituary: Joseph Figueiredo

The following is the obituary for Joseph Figueiredo.

Joseph Figueiredo Jr., 51, died Saturday, Sept. 22, after suffering injuries in a motorcycle accident. He was the husband of Karen E. (Costello) Figueiredo. Born in Somerville, he was raised and educated in Stoughton and was a longtime resident of Stoughton before moving to Mansfield 21 years ago. He was a Veteran of the United States Army. Mr. Figueiredo was a member of Teamsters Local 25 in Boston since 1996 and worked as a Low Bed Driver for several area construction companies. He was an animal lover, especially his dog Rudy. Nancy B. (Ryan) Pierce, 88, of Mansfield, passed away peacefully on Sunday, October, 7, 2012 at the Golden Living Center Garden Place in Attleboro. She was the beloved wife of the late Robert H. Pierce. Born in Norwood, MA on August 29, 1924, she was a daughter of the late Thomas E. and Elizabeth (Woodfin) Ryan. Nancy grew up in Walpole and was a graduate of Walpole High School. She was wed to her late husband Bob on September 19, 1952 and served as a dedicated homemaker to her cherished family. A resident of Mansfield for the past 45 years, Mrs. Pierce was an active member of the First Christian Church of West Mansfield. (Allen) Hawksley, 81, a lifelong resident of Mansfield, passed away peacefully in the presence of her loving family, on Wednesday, September 26, 2012 at the Sturdy Memorial Hospital in Attleboro. Joseph D. Rockwood, 92, recently of Taunton, formerly of Rehoboth, Norton and Mansfield, passed away on Saturday September 22, 2012 at the Morton Hospital in Taunton. He was the beloved husband of the late Rita M. (Cintioni) Rockwood. Born in Worcester, MA on December 18, 1919, he was a dear son of the late David C. and Anna (Stafinski) Rockwood. He grew up in Worcester and in the Roxbury section of Boston, and had attended Mechanical Arts High School in Boston. During WWII, he faithfully served his country in the United States Army Air Corps and was honorably discharged in 1946 with the rank of Sergeant.
