Last weekend, the Comcast Center held their first two shows of the season when country singer Brad Paisley performed on May 17 and KISS 108 held their annual KISS Concert on May 18. According to Mansfield police, there were 18 arrests and 30 taken into protective custody during the May 17 show. The majority of arrests made during the country singer's concert were for under 21 possession of liquor. A much milder event, there were no arrests at the KISS Concert on May 18 and only four people were taken into protective custody. May 9 2:21 p.m. Caller reported a violation of a restraining order. 4:23 p.m. Caller reported a bat stuck in her bathroom. 10:43 p.m. Tiffani Green, 25, of 37 Kerrigan St. in Long Beach, New York and William Dryden, 53, of 512 South Main St. were each arrested for operation of a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol.

April 25 1:15 a.m. - After being stopped on East Street, Matthew Wainwright, 35, of Mansfield was arrested and charged with operating under the influence of liquor. He was later released on $40 bail. April 27 3:31 a.m. - Making a stop on East Street, police arrested and charged Joel Gardosik, 34, of Mansfield with operating under the influence of liquor. April 28 2:21 a.m. - Pulling over a vehicle on Squire Avenue, Mansfield police arrested Thomas Cunningham, 56, of Mansfield. Cunningham was charged with his third OUI Liquor offense and negligent operation of a motor vehicle. He also received a citation for plate obstruction. A bomb scare was called into Bridgemedic aearly Friday afternoon.
At 1:40 p.m., Mansfield Police and Fire responded to a phoned in report of a bomb scare at Bridgemedica at 111 Forbes Blvd. According to police, the building was evacuated and officers, firefighters and company personnel subsequently performed a check of the building. It was determined that the threat was false and employees were allowed to re-enter the building. The incident is under investigation by the Detective Division.

April 19 7:04 p.m. - After getting a report of an incident on Pratt St., one Mansfield female was taken into protective custody and Stephen Cronin, 61, of Mansfield, was arrested and charged with violating an abuse prevention order. April 20 2:05 p.m. - After receiving a report of a fight on Pleasant St., police arrested and charged Zachary Evans, 20, of North Attleboro with Assault and Battery.

After police were able to arrest Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, residents took to social media to express their excitement.
A week of fear came to an end Friday night when Dzhokhar Tsarnaev was arrested in connection to the Boston Marathon Bombing. The arrest has led to celebration and relief across the Commonwealth as a terrible week finished after the suspect was arrested in Watertown. After the arrest, the Mansfield Police Department posted a message on Twitter congratulating the officers working the case including members of the Mansfield PD that were called up by the Metro Law Enforcement Council "An outstanding job over the last 24 hours by law enforcement in the metro Boston area. One of two charges against William Koury was reduced.
One of the two charges against a Mansfield man accused of sending an undercover state trooper a video of children in sexually explicit poses has been reduced according to the Sun Chronicle. William B. Koury, a Level 2 sex offender, had the charge of dissemination of child porn reduced by Assistant District Attorney Erin Aiello after Koury's lawyer asked to dismiss the case due to delays in obtaining an indictment or conducting a probable cause hearing. Despite the reduced charge, prosecutors are still investigating Koury and may still seek a grand jury indictment. The reduced charged will allow prosecutors more time to obtain an indictment or bring the case to trial in district court. If the trial goes to district court, the maximum …

April 1 7:56 p.m. - A little before 8 p.m., Mansfield police received a report of a woman stealing a cell phone case from the Mansfield Best Buy. After looking for the woman's vehicle, officer Nicole Newport pulled over a vehicle matching the description of the alleged thief's car on Charles St. After pulling over the car, several items were discovered during a search that were possibly stolen.
