Mansfield's Miller Recycling Dontes $1K to West Side Benevolent Society

Miller Recycling announces that they donated $1,160.50 to The West Side Benevolent Society due to citizen participation.

  (From Miller Recycling Corporation:) Miller Recycling Corporation completed their second E Waste collection event on Saturday, Dec. 9. This event was held at 73 Plymouth St. in Mansfield, at their main office and recycling facility. Over 200 vehicles attended, delivering everything from computers, monitors, TV's, and all other types of electronic scrap. Miller Recycling accepted close to 15 tons of material during the 6 hour event! Miller Recycling Corporation thanks all those from Mansfield and various surrounding communities that participated and helped make this worthwhile. 100% of the materials collected will be disassembled and properly recycled. Fire Again Breaks Out at Mansfield's Miller Recycling

Fire breaks out at Miller Recycling Plant for third time in two years.

Mansfield firefighters were alerted to the third fire at the Miller Recycling Plant in two years Tuesday night. Mansfield Fire Chief Neal Boldrighini attributed the cause of the fire to the low ignition temperature of the materials in the paper recycling plant. The fire reportedly started at around 10:30 p.m. when one of the company’s forklifts had an electrical issue. No injuries were reported during the incident. Companies from Norton, Sharon, Foxborough, North Attleboro and Plainville assisted in the blaze.

Miller Hosting E-Waste Recycling Event

Second E-Waste Recycling Event Hosted By Miller Recycling Corporation.

Miller Recycling Corporation announced today that they will host their second E-Waste Recycling Event on Saturday, December 8thfor the proper disposal of obsolete electronics. The event is scheduled to take place at 73 Plymouth Street in Mansfield from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Miller Recycling Corporation will be accepting ALL types of electronic scrap including computers, monitors, power supplies, TV’s, telephones, cell phones, gaming systems, etc. All computers and components will be accepted at no charge. Miller Recycling Completed Installation of Solar Power Project

Miller Recycling has completed installation of a roof mounted solar array at their Mansfield facility, which will offset 90% of the company’s annual energy needs.

Miller Recycling has completed the installation of 1,200 solar panels in a roof-mounted array at their Mansfield facility. The system will offset 90 percent of the facility’s traditional energy needs, annually eliminating over a half million pounds of carbon dioxide emissions. Miller Recycling began investigating the potential benefits of solar in early 2011. After careful study, which included research of both federal and state grants and incentives, the benefit of renewable energy credits, and a careful site assessment, it was determined that the company could derive a substantial benefit from such a system. “While the sustainability component of this project is important to us, the financials have to work in our favor as well,” …

Free E-Waste Recycling in Mansfield

Miller Recycling Corporation hosting recycling event.

Miller Recycling Corporation announced today that they will host a free E-Waste Recycling Event on Jan. 7 for the proper disposal of obsolete electronics at their facility in Mansfield. The event is scheduled for Saturday, Jan. 7, 2012 at 73 Plymouth Street, Mansfield from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Miller Recycling Corporation will be accepting ALL types of electronic scrap including computers, monitors, power supplies, TV’s, telephones, cell phones, gaming systems, etc. All items will be accepted at no charge.
