fyi, went back to fresh catch again, saturday night, (give them another chance) the waitress was great, friendly and there for us, the food, sorry 24bucks for seafood cassarole, fish was small and cold in the middle, two small shrimps and two scallops? waste of money, they do though have good chowda, sorry fresh catch   more ›

Trattoria della Nonna in Mansfield Bringing Italian Tradition Back from the Old Country

Owner Kenny DeFazio takes traditions from Italy and brings it the Mansfield downtown with Trattoria della Nonna.

Mansfield’s Trattoria Della Nonna’s owners Kenny DeFazio and his wife Yvonne opened up shop in Mansfield almost 12 years ago, and they it’s never been better. DeFazio said that he first started cooking with his grandmother in Iowa when he was five or six years old. Trattoria Della Nonna, literally translated means “grandma’s kitchen,” and DeFazio said he drew his inspiration from his grandmother. “My grandparents are from Italy and her food was unbelievable,” he said. “I developed my palate from her.” DeFazio said that he began helping his grandmother in the kitchen every Sunday when he could.
