Mansfield defeats the Warriors 3-0.
The Mansfield boys ice hockey team beat Foxborough on Saturday 3-0. While the score was a bit lopsided in Mansfield’s favor, it did not reflect the entirety of the game. Offensively, Mansfield dominated the ice. They had a total of 33 shots on goal, out shooting Foxborough by 26. They also kept the puck primarily on the Warrior’s side of play, not giving Foxborough many chances to shoot. "I got a chance to play everybody," Mansfield head coach Rick Anastos said. "That was what I had hoped to accomplish. Everybody goes to practice and they work hard. This was their oppertunity to play and they played." Mansfield did however give Foxborough two powerplays in the first and second periods, but did not allow any scoring. "We just got to keep …

Despite getting an early lead, Mansfield could not keep the momentum and lost 3-2
The game started well enough for Mansfield, with two goals in the first half and a good showing of defense. The Hornets did not give the Warriors many chances to strike in the first half, but it was not the case in the second half. "We fought back in the second half," said Foxborough head coach Pat Nash. "First half, I think we didn't play very well. They took it to us, played big and you've got to give them credit there." Danny Sarkis, the Mansfield team captain, scored both of the team's goals in the first half. But near the beginning of the second half, Foxborough began to strike back. "We outplayed them in the first half, they outplayed us in the second," Mansfield head coach Steve Sheridan. "It was a tale of two halves, they won one …
