Mansfield Resident Calls for Recall on Two Selectmen, Citing Transparency and Financial Issues
Mansfield resident Tina Silverio explains why she asked for a recall.
On Monday, Mansfield resident Tina Silverio submitted a petition for a recall on selectmen Jess Aptowitz and Kevin Moran. She said the petition was motivated by long-time concerns over financial problems in the town, as well as the more recent issue of most of the finance committee resigning en masse. She said she felt that the resignations were the result of a severe lack of communication and transparency between the two boards during the days leading up to town meeting. Silverio said that the town needs new blood in the board, which is why she started the petition. She said thinks that new members could be better suited to serve the town financially.
