customers and friends to provide supplies for the artists working on the mural. Just some of the

supplies needed throughout project are paint trays, rollers, scrapers, painters tape, spray bottles, twine, neoprene washers, step stool, utility knife, tool rack, squeeze bottles, safety glasses and knee pads and more.

“Gail and Bob Todd, and sons Chris and Linc, have been very supportive of the Mural and also

building downtown business activity,” said Nancy Wall of the mural committee. “ It’s really

helpful that they agreed to set up an account, so Ian, the artist, can have easy access to supplies. I don’t know of any other hardware store that would do that.”

In addition to these items, “we have a varied inventory that includes a large selection of screws and nails, plumbing, electrical, garden, cleaning and painting supplies and greeting cards and we repair screen windows, doors and lamps and will gladly help you find what you want,” said Gail Todd.

“If every time that a customer made a purchase they put a dollar into the mural account, it

would show that this is really a community project,” Wall said. “Buy locally and support our

community’s business and art.”

Close to $30,000 has been raised toward the goal of $50,000 for the mural.

“I hope residents will shop at the hardware store and make a donation to their mural account.

This is a unique and easy way to support both the mural and a local business.”
