Franklin Street Intruder Foiled by Senior Citizen

Over the weekend, an Attleboro man attempting to break into a home was stopped when a 67-year old man fought him off.

Police responded to the incident on June 30 after the man's wife called 911 around 4:20 a.m. When they arrived at the Franklin Street home, they found the eldery owner of the home attempting to keep the intrudor out.

Police told the Sun Chronicle that the suspect, Reicke L. Dellek III, 20, of Attleboro, was carrying nine hypodermic needles and two small bags of what appeared to be heroine.

Dellek allegedly told police he was unsure how he got into the house and claimed he yelled for help despite no neighbors hearing the pleas for assistance.

Dellek will be arraigned in Atleboro District Court on multiple charges including burglary and assault and assault and battery on a person over 60..
